Tucker Carlson (born Tucker McNear Carlson in San Francisco, California on May 16, 1969) is a news anchor, who currently holds a position at FOX News Channel. Tucker began his journalism career working as a member of the editorial staff for the The Policy Review, a conservative journal in Washington DC. Tucker also contributed to newspapers and magazines including, Reader’s Digest. He has also written for Esquire, The Weekly Standard, The New Republic, The New York Times Magazine, and The Daily Beast. But in Feb. 2005, he landed a full time position at CNN, co-hosting Crossfire, making him the youngest anchor in the network’s history. Unfortunately, Tucker’s contract wasn’t renewed, forcing him to find work elsewhere. In the same year, Tucker reached another breakthrough signing on to host his own show, Tucker on MSNBC. One of the highlights of his time at MSNBC was hosting weekday wrap-ups of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. After three years at the network, Tucker went over to the Fox News Channel, where he was hired as a contributor. He appeared and hosted shows including Special Report with Bret Baier and Fox & Friends. In Nov. 2016, it was announced that Tucker would be hosting his own show entitled Tucker Carlson Tonight. After two months, news broke that he was leaving his 7p.m. time slot to replace Megyn Kelly’s 9p.m. show.

Personal Life:
Tucker Carlson married his high school sweetheart Susan Carlson, whom he originalky met at a boarding school in Rhode Island. Together, the couple have four children. In 2003, Tucker penned an autobiography entitledPoliticians, Partisans and Parasites: My Adventures in Cable News about his life and extensive career in  the new business.
