Elena made her feelings about both Salvatore brothers pretty clear on the midseason premiere of ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ But will they last?
Let me begin by saying this, my friends: No, your eyes were not deceiving you during that last scene on the Jan. 5 episode of The Vampire Diaries. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) really did go in for the kiss, and yes, Elena (Nina Dobrev) really did kiss him right back. And it was super hot. The kiss was preceded by one of Damon’s legendary speeches, this time about how he feels so guilty for wanting his brother’s girlfriend. Thankfully he got over that pretty quickly, and decided that if he was going to feel guilty, he might as well have something to feel guilty about. Cue the kiss.

Also, uh… is Katherine dead now? Just checking.
Track and field! Bonfires! Cheerleading practice! After ignoring Mystic Falls High for what seemed like forever, the Oct. 20 episode of The Vampire Diaries was (literally) exploding with school spirit. But the best class of all was chemistry — and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) racked up some major extra credit.

Aside from the hot-and-heavy pairing of Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Caroline (Candice Accola), every other couple in Mystic Falls was put to the test on the Oct. 6 episode of The Vampire Diaries. Elena (Nina Dobrev) continued flirting with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), while Stefan (Paul Wesley) swapped spit with Rebecca (Claire Holt), and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) had to choose between Anna the Friendly Ghost (Malese Jow) or Bonnie the Teenage Witch (Kat Graham.) Let’s talk about each of their poor life choices, shall we?

Seriously, is this even a contest? Ian has already beaten Rob countless times. Prepare to add one more victory to the list!
If there’s one thing teens like more than vampires, it’s the ability to choose which vampire they love most of all. The Teen Choice Awards is well aware of this and has just added a “Choice Vampire” category to its 2011 roster, which once again finds The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder and Twilight’s Robert Pattinson locking fangs in an epic battle of undead beauty. And there’s no doubt in my mind that Ian will come out on top.

Let’s hope fans of The Vampire Diaries are as rabid about voting as they are about making the show trend on Twitter, because The CW hit is nominated in nine categories at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards! Aside from the show itself, stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Michael Trevino and Joseph Morgan also nabbed noms for their stand-out performances.

If you spent any time in Atlanta, Ga., this winter, consider yourself lucky you made it back without a werewolf bite! Both Teen Wolf and The Vampire Diaries were filming in the A-T-L, and yes, they crossed paths. Creator Jeff Davis reveals to HollywoodLife.com: “I’m actually friends with Kevin Williamson who does The Vampire Diaries, and for people who know that show quite well, they’ll see a little Easter egg at the end of episode two of Teen Wolf. You’ll have to look closely, though.”

I don’t even have words to explain how much I loved the May 5 episode of The Vampire Diaries, but I’ll try. Between the arrival of Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) sacrifice, the death of no-longer-ignorant Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning), and Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) whole will-she-or-won’t-she vampire shenanigans, this episode was almost too much to handle at times. Like, I had to leave at least one lamp on in the room, whereas I normally watch like a scared little girl in the dark. Add to that Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) gradual death from the wolf-bite and this episode totally could have been the season finale’s doppelganger.

Tonight’s episode is going to be INTENSE! Our drinking game is just the thing you’ll need to take the edge off.

We know a ton of you want to see Bonnie (Katerina Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) hook up on The Vampire Diaries, so we couldn’t resist asking Katerina about the potential pairing when we saw her Nov. 13 at the Gay & Lesbian Center’s 39th Anniversary Gala & Auction in Los Angeles. “I don’t even know what’s going to happen with me and Jeremy, or me and Luca,” she told HollywoodLife.com, adding, “But I love working with Steven. He’s such a cutie. … It’s not a bad looking cast. I’m not complaining.”
