Nastia Liukin (born Anastasia Valeryevna Liukin on October 30, 1989 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian-American dancer, retired gymnast and commentator on NBC Sports. She won a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics, then retired from the sport in 2012. Liukin is currently competing on season 20 of Dancing With The Stars with partner Derek Hough.

Personal Life:
Liukin is the daughter of champion gymnast and Olympic gold medalist Valeri Liukin. Liukin has a clothing line, SuperGirl by Nastia, and her own gymnastics competition, The Nastia Liukin Cup. Liukin was also a member of Kellogg’s Tour of Olympic Champions following the 2012 Olympic Games. She is currently the Athlete Ambassador for the USOC’s Road to Rio tour. Likuin is fluent in both English and Russian, and attended Southern Methodist University before leaving to concentrate on preparing for the 2008 Olympic Games. As of March 2014, Liukin is enrolled at New York University and is majoring in Sports Management.
