This is so tragic. ‘America’s Next Top Model’ contestant Mirjana was shot to death when she opened the door for the two men who robbed her boyfriend and their housemate in their Charlotte, North Carolina home.
Mirjana Puhar, 19, was reportedly the first to be killed in the devastating triple homicide on Feb. 24, as she answered the door to two robbers and gunmen. Mirjana’s boyfriend Jonathan Alvarado and his roommate Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia were then shot in the head following Mirjana’s death in an incident said to be fueled by robbery.

Mirjana Puhar is best known for her time on ‘ANTM,’ and now her mentor, Tyra Banks, along with co-executive producer Ken Mok, have released a statement revealing their thoughts on the former contestant’s tragic death.
Tyra Banks, 41, had the difficult task of sending Mirjana Puhar, 18 at the time, home on episode 10 of the 21st season of America’s Next Top Model. Sadly, Mirjana didn’t live to see her dreams of becoming a model come true, and now Tyra is mourning the loss of a girl who once had so much promise.
