With only six episodes left to go, the gang hit some major milestones — and a few crossroads — this week.
Now that we know our time with the 90210-ers is drawing to a close — the series finale airs May 13 — I’m reflecting on how much and why exactly I’ll miss them, which is what I pondered while watching the March 4 episode. Most of all, I’ll miss these kids’ uncanny ability to completely switch life directions on a weekly basis, then immediately achieving unfathomable success in their new field.

The moment ‘Lannie’ fans have waited years for finally came this week — then very quickly went.
For the past five seasons, Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes) has been a woman of many hats; we’ve seen her as an actress, a prostitute, and most recently, the author of a “best-selling erotic adventure novel.” But on the Feb. 25 episode of 90210, Annie finally figured out what she really wants out of life: to be with Liam (Matt Lanter)! If only she’d kept up with my recaps, I’m pretty sure Annie would have come to that conclusion a long time ago.

The girls finally met their parents’ love child — and no, Annie didn’t hook up with him.
Continuing in season five’s rich tradition of drudging up the past, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) tracked down her long-lost half brother Mark (Charlie Weber) on the Feb. 18 episode of 90210. And continuing in Naomi’s rich tradition of making terrible life choices, she accidentally lit his food truck on fire, then crashed it into a newsstand — all in the name of convincing him to open up a restaurant with her. Oh yeah, Naomi’s a restauranteur now.

Plus, Adrianna & Liam sabotage their careers. Good choices, all around!
After deciding to get a divorce, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max (Josh Zuckerman) wrestled with the idea of actually living separate lives on the Feb. 11 episode of 90210. Even though they still had chemistry — and I literally mean they did a chemistry experiment — they concluded it wouldn’t be fair to keep the marriage alive.

‘Lannie’ shippers, your prayers have been answered!
Say it with me kids: finally! According to the official description for 90210’s Feb. 25 episode, Annie (Shenae Grimes) “feels confused about her newly re-surfaced feelings” for Liam (Matt Lanter). It should come as no surprise that Annie is “confused” — honestly, when is she not? — but I think all “Lannie” fans can breathe a sigh of relief that she’s seeing what we’ve all seen for the past five seasons: Liam is totally her lobster.

Just when I thought Annie actually had a shot at happiness, her relationship with Riley takes a fatal turn.
Annie (Shenae Grimes) apparently awoke from her coma crazier than ever, because instead of confessing her love Liam (Matt Lanter) on the Feb. 4 episode of 90210 — color me crazy, but wasn’t that the whole point of her dream?! — she actually decided she was in love with Riley (Riley Smith)! Seriously, did I miss something?

Old faces — both welcome and unwelcome, but all sexy — returned this week to help Annie get her slutty, debaucherous friends back on the right path.
I’d like to begin my recap of 90210’s Jan. 28 episode by saying this: While I’m not entirely sure what the hell I just watched, I do know that I loved it, and I never wanted it to end. Annie (Shenae Grimes) should get shot more often!

One of Liam’s lovely ladies literally took a bullet for him this week — but who?
Arielle Kebbel told me the Jan. 21 episode of 90210 was worth waiting through the hiatus, but I really think she undersold just how crazy it was. Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Vanessa joined forces to rescue Liam (Matt Lanter) and his beautiful hair, and while the mission was successful, it may have cost one of them more than they bargained for. Dun, dun, dun!

‘Lannie’ has finally been reunited, albeit in the clutches of two murderous psychopaths.
If you watched the 30-second promo for the winter finale of 90210, you pretty much saw the entire episode, as The CW literally gave away the three biggest twists: Naomi (AnnaLegend McCord) discovered that Alec is in love with Max, Liam (Matt Lanter) found himself tied up in a basement, and Teddy (Trevor Donovan) told Silver (Jessica Stroup) he didn’t want her to have their baby without him. But even without any so-called ‘surprises,’ the Dec. 10 episode was still as enjoyable an hour as ever. It’s always been about the nuances with this show, people. The nuances!

Old enemies, and even older enemies, returned for the show’s 100th episode.
Let’s be real: 90210 has never been a master of continuity. Storylines get dropped, characters disappear completely, and no one seems to bat an eye. But the sudser’s 100th episode did a solid job of righting some of its past wrongs, delivering a gift to fans who have stuck with it through the good, the bad, and the Jasper — who, coincidentally, returned for the milestone episode. As did Cousin Emily. But I already told you that would happen. Wink!

They may have their own lovers on the side, but it sounds like there’s more hope than ever for Liam & Annie!
90210 fans have been desperate to see Liam (Matt Lanter) and Annie (Shenae Grimes) back together, and now, the wait might finally be over! The show’s 100th episode, airing Dec. 3, finds Liam coming clean about the reason behind Vanessa’s (Arielle Kebbel) disappearance, a secret that will undoubtedly bond the former couple once again.

Vanessa’s shenanigans came to an abrupt, and very fitting, end this week — but something tells me we haven’t seen the last of her.
The Oct. 15 episode of 90210 was all about damage control: Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) took drastic actions to legitimize her marriage to Max, Dixon (Tristan Wilds) struggled with his new physical limitations, and Liam (Matt Lanter) may have finally found a way to shake Vanessa (Arielle Kebbel) off his back. … Wait, did I say “off his back?” Because I obviously meant “off his balcony.”

Liam may be up to his perfectly side-swept bangs in Vanessa drama on 90210, but Matt Lanter tells HollywoodLife.com not to lose faith in “Lannie,” as a reunion between Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Liam could be just around the corner. “We’re filming episode 10 right now … and Annie and Liam are having some real, serious moments,” he tells me. “It wouldn’t surprise me if we end up seeing them together. There’s definitely hope for those ‘Lannie’ fans out there, more so than in the past couple seasons.”

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 90210 fans rooting for Liam (Matt Lanter) and Annie (Shenae Grimes) to reunite this season will probably be disappointed come May — and they’ve got Annie’s new priest friend Caleb (Robert Hoffman) to thank for it! “Caleb takes up a lot of Annie’s head space … for the last six episodes of the season,” Robert tells HollywoodLife.com.

Fun in the sun quickly turned to tears in the hospital for one ‘90210’ couple. (Spoilers ahead!)
It was “hospital week” on the March 21 episode of 90210, with nearly half the cast being admitted for various treatments. Silver (Jessica Stroup) was tested for the cancer gene, Dixon (Tristan Wilds) learned he has a heart condition after collapsing in the studio, and Ivy (Gillian Zinser) discovered that Raj’s (Manish Dayal) cancer was back — and she had very little time to say goodbye.

Blackmail, car accidents… and babies? Yeah, it was a hell of a ‘90210’ winter finale.
All I want for Christmas was for Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Liam (Matt Lanter) to get back together, and what do you know, my big wish was finally granted on the Dec. 6 episode of 90210. Of course, their reunion didn’t come without a few (literal) bumps in the road. In fact, I’m not totally sure if they’re “back together” at all. Humbug!

Warning: Long, emotional tribute to Teddy Montgomery (and Trevor Donovan) ahead!
We’ve seen quite a few characters come and go over the years on 90210, but no one received a farewell as emotional — and deserving — as Teddy (Trevor Donovan) was given on the show’s Nov. 29 episode. We’ve been anticipating his departure with dread since the news broke last summer, and I applaud the writers for sending him off in a way that was not only respectful of the character, but also satisfying to the show’s very loyal fans.
