Virgil Abloh — Virgil Abloh was a fashion icon. He was the artistic director for Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection from 2018 until 2021, and he was also the CEO for his own label Off-White, which he started in 2012. Throughout his career, he helped the worlds of luxury clothing and streetwear meet. While interning at Fendi, he met Kanye West, who he became a collaborator with on some of the rapper’s biggest projects like ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ or his ‘Watch The Throne’ collab with Jay Z. He worked on album covers for a number of artists, including Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Luv is Rage 2,’ Kid Cudi’s ‘WZRD,’ A$AP Rocky’s ‘Long.Live.A$AP,’ and many more.

Virgil died on Sunday November 28, after a two year battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, and many stars mourned his loss. “Virgil was driven by his dedication to his craft and to his mission to open doors for others and create pathways for greater equality in art and design,” a statement announcing his death said.
