‘This Is The Year’ is a new movie that will debut virtually on Aug. 28. The movie is David Henrie’s feature directorial debut. Selena Gomez also serves as an executive producer. ‘This Is The Year’ is a contemporary spin on many of the classic 80s movies that
resonated with that era’s youth. It aims to address the issues facing teens today – high school friendships, romances, escapades, change, and more – speaking their language and breaking through with a story that actually means something. In a last-ditch effort to win the heart of the girl of his dreams, a high school senior (Lorenzo Henrie) and his best friends set out on a road trip to see their favorite band lovelytheband at the hottest music festival of the year. However, they find true love in unexpected places. Gregg Sulkin and Jeff Garlin, who are also ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ alumni, star in the film alongside Vanessa Marano, Jake Short, Alyssa Jirrels, and Bug Hall. See more photos in our gallery.
