‘The Great’ Season 4 — ‘The Great’ returned for season 3 on May 12, 2023, with 10 brand-new episodes. The new season followed the beloved Catherine and Peter as they attempted to make their marriage work. However, life always gets in the way. These two have had to overcome major obstacles, including an attempted murder plot.

The third season changed course halfway through the season with the death of Peter. Catherine watched in horror as Peter and his horse plunged into a frozen lake right in front of her eyes. The back half of the season explored Catherine’s intense grief over losing Peter.

The show stars Elle Fanning as Catherine the Great, Nicholas Hoult as Peter III of Russia, Phoebe Fox as Marial, Sacha Dhawan as Orlo, Charity Wakefield as Georgina, Adam Godley as Archie, and more.
