‘Teen Wolf’ is a fan favorite. See what stars Tyler Posey and more are up to now.

Tons of people tuned in to follow Teen Wolf when it aired on MTV from 2011 to 2017. Based on an 80s horror-comedy starring Michael J. Fox, the story was primed for a modern reboot. Fans loved the coming-of-age saga, which followed high school werewolf Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and the supernaturally gifted teens of Beacon Hills. Most of the cast returned for Teen Wolf: The Movie, which premiered on Paramount+ on Jan. 26, 2023.

Ready to learn what the rest of the pack is up to now? Check out the gallery to see where Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien, and more stars are now.

From a cub, to the Alpha! Tyler Posey starts the series as a timid young version of Scott McCall, but as he masters his powers and learns more about the supernatural world around him, he comes into his own. As the lead character, he stars in all six seasons of the series. In the movie, his character is forced to reckon with the tragedy that forced him away from his home at the end of the TV show.

Tyler enjoyed a role in the medical drama Doc from 2001 to 2004 and appeared in the Jennifer Lopez flick Maid in Manhattan in 2002, before his time as Scott. Since his MTV days, the star has appeared in the thriller Truth Or Dare (2018) and the third season of the slasher series Scream, which premiered in 2019. He was cast in a CW reboot of The Lost Boys. After finding themselves unhappy with the pilot, the network scrapped the series. Tyler also performs in the band Lost in Kostko, which he co-founded in 2009. Tyler just got married to singer Phem on October 14, 2023.

Tyler Hoechlin

Tyler Hoechlin was an established actor when he signed on to play older packmate Derek Hale on Teen Wolf. Though things start off rocky with Scott, they eventually grow to be allies. Derek was a central character in seasons one to four. Tyler returned for a cameo in season 6 and is back for the Teen Wolf movie, as an even older and wiser Derek.

Before TW, Tyler was in 7th Heaven from 2003 to 2007. He also plays Superman in the Arrowverse series Supergirl and Superman & Lois, first putting on the cape in 2016.

Crystal Reed

Crystal Reed was Allison Argent, Scott’s first love interest. Allison comes from a long line of werewolf hunters and is a skilled archer. She was a lead in seasons one through three and has a guest role in season 5 as an ancestor of Allison’s. Fans were surprised to learn that Allison was back for the Teen Wolf movie. You’ll just have to watch to figure out how.

Though Crystal had some smaller roles before, Teen Wolf was really her breakout part. Since then, she appeared on the fourth season of Gotham (2017–2018) and led the 2019 series Swamp Thing. Film credits include Skyline (2010), Crush (2013), Too Late (2015), and Ghostland (2018).

Dylan O’Brien

Dylan O’Brien won over everyone as Scott’s quick-witted best friend Stiles Stilinski, who appeared on the series for its entire run. Though he doesn’t have any supernatural powers, he’s a keen problem solver and a loyal sidekick throughout. Sadly, his character was not back for the Teen Wolf movie. Fans can look forward to a few choice references to Stiles though.

Teen Wolf was Dylan’s first major role. His star would continue to soar as the star of the Maze Runner trilogy (2014–2018.) Taylor Swift fans will also recognize him as the star of her 2021 short All Too Well, opposite Sadie Sink.

Holland Roden was type-A high schooler Lydia Martin on Teen Wolf. Appearing on all six seasons of the show, her character was Allison’s best friend, and eventually, she discovers her own supernatural powers. She’s back for the 2023 movie.

Teen Wolf wasn’t Holland’s first project. As a teen actress from 2008 to 2010, she had roles on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Cold Case, Weeds, Community, Grey’s Anatomy, and Criminal Minds. Since the show, she’s appeared on Syfy’s Channel Zero (2018), an episode of the Amazon Prime anthology Lore 2017, and the thriller Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (2021.)

Colton Haynes

Talk about a story arc. Colton Haynes starts the series as Lydia’s shallow, obnoxious boyfriend Jackson Whittemore. In seasons one and two, he bucks heads with Stiles. After an encounter with a werewolf, Jackson starts shifting into a reptilian “kanima.” He abruptly left the show in season three, only to return in season six as a proudly gay shapeshifter. Jackson is back for some comic relief in the Teen Wolf movie.

Colton’s career began in modeling before he was cast in Teen Wolf. After leaving the MTV show, he played Roy Harper/Arsenal in the CW superhero show Arrow from season six until the show wrapped in 2020. In 2022, Colton published the memoir Miss Memory Lane.

Shelley Hennig wasn’t introduced to Teen Wolf until season three, becoming a main character from four to six. Her character Malia Tate is a werecoyote assassin, who was a little rough around the edges after spending most of her childhood as a fully feral coyote. She’s back for the movie.

Shelley was a beauty queen before Teen Wolf, taking home the crown for Miss Teen USA in 2004. Her acting career began on the soap opera Days of Our Lives (2007–2011, 2017.) Then she appeared on the CW supernatural teen drama The Secret Circle (2011–2012). She can boast a Teen Choice Award and two Daytime Emmy Award nominations. Additionally, Shelley has appeared in the films Ouija (2014), Unfriended (2014), and When We First Met (2018).

Arden Cho moves to Beacon Hills during season three, and her character Kira Yukimura became a regular in seasons four and five. As monsters from Japanese mythology begin to pop up in the community, the new transplant discovers that she is a thunder kitsune with profound swordsmanship skills and electrical powers. While she skipped season six, her character is integral to the 2023 Teen Wolf film.

Arden began her career as a model, before some small TV roles. She was cast on Teen Wolf in 2014. Following the success of the show, Arden appeared on season 3 of Chicago Med and was the lead of the 2022 Netflix series, Partner Track.

Dylan Sprayberry

Dylan Sprayberry is the surly young werewolf Liam Dunbar, who debuts in season four and was a regular for the rest of the show. His character initially sees himself as Scott’s rival, before he is forced to become a werewolf in order to save his life. As he matures, he begins to bond with the pack, who he is back to defend in Teen Wolf: The Movie.

Dylan first made an impression as a young Clark Kent in the 2013 film Man of Steel, before getting cast on Teen Wolf in 2014. He starred in the supernatural series Light As A Feather from 2018 to 2019.

Linden Ashby’s Sheriff Noah Stilinski didn’t become a fixture on the series until the last season, but he was a recurring character throughout the entire show. He and his son Stiles have a deep connection, which appears time and time again on the show. Though we don’t get any sightings of the younger Stiles, the Sheriff does make a fond mention of his son in the 2023 Teen Wolf movie.

Melissa Ponzio laid low as Scott’s mom Melissa McCall at the start of the series. Once the nurse is privy to the pack’s secrets, she becomes an invaluable ally. Though she appears throughout the show, her character wouldn’t become a central figure until the very end. Ready to help, Melissa is back for Teen Wolf: The Movie.
