Sutton Foster is an American actress who got her start on the stage as Sandy in the Broadway production of Grease. She went on to star as Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie on Broadway, which is noted as her breakthrough role on stage. Foster went on to win the 2002 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical, and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical for her performance. She also starred in The Drowsy Chaperone, Shrek: The Musical, Anything Goes, and Violet. In 2012, Sutton landed a major role on the small screen in ABC Family’s series Bunheads, playing a former Las Vegas showgirl Michelle, who impulsively marries a man, moves to his small town, and begins teaching ballet lessons at her new mother-in-law’s dance studio. In 2015, she returned to TV in the role of Liza Miller in the TV Land series Younger, which blew up into a hit series also starring Hillary Duff. The show will begin filming its 7th season in the spring. Sutton most recently was announced in the the role of Marian Paroo, starring opposite Hugh Jackman, in The Music Man revival.
