Season 42 of ‘Survivor’ airs its finale May 25, 2022. Take a look back at the 18 castaways who started out, and who is still competing for the $1 million prize.

‘Survivor’ Season 42 Cast

‘Survivor’ Season 42 Cast — ‘Survivor’ season 42 premiered on March 9, 2022 on CBS. Like season 41, the show was filmed amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Due to quarantine rules that cut into filming time, the season played out over just 26 days, as opposed to the usual 39 days. The show started with 18 castaways, all competing to win a $1 million prize by outwitting, outplaying and outlasting their fellow contestants.

The players were divided into three tribes to start the season. The cast was announced to the public in Feb. 2022, with players ranging in age from 19 to 58. The filmed during May and June 2021 in Fiji, with Jeff Probst returning as host. As always, the contestants competed in immunity and reward challenges to try and further themselves in the game, and every few days, someone was voted out.

Romeo Escobar — Romeo Escobar is a 37-year-old pageant coach from Norwalk, California. He was a member of the Ika tribe to start out season 42.

Rocksroy Bailey

Rocksroy Bailey — Rocksroy Bailey was also a member of the Ika tribe to kick off this season of ‘Survivor’. The 44-year-old is a proud stay-at-home dad.

Swati Goel

Swati Goel — At 19 years old, Swati Goel is the youngest contestant on season 42 of ‘Survivor.’ She is an Ivy League student and a member of the Ika tribe.

Tori Meehan — Tori Meehan is a therapist from Rogers, Arkansas. The 25-year-old started off the game on the Ika tribe.

Survivor Season 42 Cast — Drea Wheeler is 35-years-old and rounds out the Ika tribe for the beginning of ‘Survivor’ season 42. Drea is a fitness consultant from Montreal.

Jonathan Young — Jonathan Young is a 29-year-old who works as a Beach Service company owner in Alabama. Jonathan was on the Taku tribe to start ‘Survivor.’

Omar Zaheer — Omar Zaheer works as a veterinarian in Ontario. The 31-year-old competed on the Taku tribe to kick off the game.

Jackson Fox — Jackson Fox is a 48-year-old healthcare worker from Houston, Texas. He also joined the Taku tribe during the ‘Survivor’ premiere.

Mike Turner — Mike Turner, from Hoboken, New Jersey, is a retired firefighter. Mike is the oldest player this season (58) and on the Vati tribe.

Daniel Strunk — From Connecticut, Daniel Strunk is a law clerk. At 30 years old, he is another member of the Vati tribe.
