Ricki Lake was born on September 21, 1968, and is an American actress, TV personality and producer. Ricki rose to fame in 1988 playing the coveted role of Tracy Turnblad in the 1988 film ‘Hairspray.’ Following her incredible success in the film, she went on to have a lucrative talk show hosting career and started at the age of just 24! She was credited as the youngest person to host a syndicated talk show at the time. After a nearly decade long run of her initial talk show, Ricki went on to start another in 2012 called ‘The Ricki Lake Show. ‘Although the series was canceled in 2013 after only one season, it did win her first Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show!
