Patrick Swayze’s legacy remains as one of the most beloved actors of his generation, even over 10 years after his death from pancreatic cancer in 2009. From hit movies like ‘Dirty Dancing’ to ‘Road House’ to ‘Ghost,’ Patrick was one of the biggest stars of the 80s and 90s, and throughout his entire career, his wife Lisa Niemi was always by his side. The pair got married in 1975, long before any movie success came! Lisa was by his side through the wonderful moments of his career but also the difficult times, as he battled cancer before his death at age 57. Like Patrick, Lisa is also an actress and has appeared in a number of movies and TV shows, and since his death, she’s written a memoir, honoring his memory. She’s also been a vocal supporter of pancreatic cancer research.
