They confirmed the suspect and the names of victims the morning after on Aug. 4, 2019.

The shooting took place in the Oregon District of Dayton, Ohio on the night of Aug. 3, 2019 and happened in the street. As of Aug. 4, nine victims were confirmed deceased at the scene and 27 injured. 24-year-old Bellbrook, Ohio native Connor Betts was named the suspect of the incident and his 22-year-old sister, Megan, was confirmed to be one of the victims. The incident happened just hours after another shooting took place in a Walmart in El Paso, TX, where there were 20 confirmed deceased victims and 26 injured.

Police responded to the Dayton shooting in under one minute and shot the gunman on site.
