LL and Simone, who married in 1995, share four children, including son Najee Laurent Todd Eugene Smith, and daughters, Italia Anita Maria Smith, Samaria Leah Wisdom Smith, and Nina Simone Smith. They are a closeknit group and the kids are all talented and successful in their own ways.

LL has gushed about being a dad man times over the years, including how he wants to empower them. ‘I just try to lead by example, encourage them [and] make sure they can do anything they put their minds to. I’ve always been really trying to teach them to believe in themselves and not be limited,’ he reportedly said about his experience as a dad.
