Kirstie Louise Alley (born January 12, 1951) is an American actress, producer, model, and television personality. She rose to fame in 1982, playing Saavik in the science fiction film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and went on to play Rebecca Howe on the NBC sitcom Cheers, receiving an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe in 1991 for the role. She went on to star in various films throughout the 80s and 90s.
In the 2010s, the longtime Donald Trump supporter sparked a wave of backlash with an October 17 tweet in 2020. “I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him four years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason,” she wrote. “He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly.
