What a fox! Julia Fox broke onto the scene in 2019 with the frantic Safdie brothers hit ‘Uncut Gems’. The Italian-American actress and filmmaker was a standout in the Adam Sandler-fronted film, for which she was nominated for the Breakthrough Actor Award at the 2019 Gotham Awards. The stunner followed up that part with roles in the movies ‘Puppet’, ‘PVT CHAT’, and the 2021 Steven Soderbergh crime flick ‘No Sudden Move’.

Prior to her breakthrough role, Julia was a fashion designer and launched a successful women’s knitwear line, Franziska Fox. She also worked as a model, posing for the last edition of Playboy in 2015.

Amazingly, ‘Uncut Gems’ was Julia’s first professional acting gig. The star admitted being on screen came to her easy with Refinery29 in Dec. 2019. ‘It was pretty easy, I would say. It’s not rocket science,’ she told the site.

‘Just like act and react, and memorize your lines. You really have to be able to let go lose control, and destroy your ego. You’re not you, you have to let go of yourself and be this whole other person, and really feel the scene that you’re in. There is an art to it. You either have it or you don’t, I think.’
