Judi Dench, born December 9, 1934, is an actress, artist and author. She is one of the most decorated actresses of our time having won over 50 honors for her various works in the film, television, and theater worlds. Judi took home the Best Supporting Actress honor at the 1998 Academy Awards for her work in ‘Shakespeare in Love’ and has also picked up a handful of Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards along the way.
Other acclaimed films she has starred in include ‘Notes on a Scandal’, ‘Skyfall’, ‘Philomena’ and ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.’ Judi has also excelled in the world of theater having won a Tony Award in 1999 for Best Actress in a Play (‘Amy’s View’) and seven Laurence Olivier Awards beginning in 1977 all the way through 2016.
