Jimmy Garoppolo is the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. After playing football at Eastern Illinois in college, Jimmy was drafted to the New England Patriots after graduation during the 2014 NFL Draft. He served as Tom Brady’s backup quarterback for four seasons with the Patriots. During his time with the Pats, Jimmy learned a lot from watching Brady, but was ready to be a starter himself.

He was traded to the San Francisco 49ers during the middle of the 2017 season, and helped them improve their record after a devastating start to the season. Although he had to sit out most of the 2018 season due to an ankle injury, Jimmy returned better than ever in 2019. He led the 49ers to the 2020 Super Bowl, although they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury resurfaced during the following season, but in 2021, Jimmy helped lead the team to another epic playoff run.
