‘Hamilton’ Cast Then & Now — Photos — There’s no denying that the cast of ‘Hamilton’ is one of the most talented groups of people to ever assemble on a Broadway stage. The musical, which won 11 Tony Awards, has gone on to create full-blown stars of its cast, and boost the profiles of some of its already famous performers.

Lin-Manuel Miranda went from 1776 to an Oscar-nominated original songwriter for ‘Moana.’ He seemingly appeared everywhere after the success of ‘Hamilton,’ and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon — could we see a new EGOT in the future?

Daveed Diggs also got a boost from the show, earning wide acclaim for his 2018 film ‘Blindspotting,’ in which he starred with his friend, Rafael Casal, and unpacked gentrification in the Bay Area of California. Leslie Odom Jr. has made the leap to the big screen, appearing in such films as ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ and ‘Harriet’ opposite his fellow Tony winner, Cynthia Erivo.

Lin-Manuel Miranda

Lin-Manuel Miranda — Lin-Manuel Miranda played the title role in the Broadway cast of ‘Hamilton.’ He won two Tony Awards for his work with the show and has since gone on to earn an Oscar nomination for his work on the Disney film ‘Moana.’ He also appeared in ‘Mary Poppins Returns,’ and his first Broadway musical, ‘In The Heights,’ will receive the film adaptation treatment in June 2021.

Okieriete Onaodowan — Okieriete Onaodowan played the dual roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in the Broadway production of ‘Hamilton.’ He has since gone on to play Dean Miller in the series ‘Station 19.’

Renée Elise Goldsberry — Renée Elise Goldsberry played Angelica Schuyler in the original Broadway cast of ‘Hamilton.’ She won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her work. She has since starred in the TV movie ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,’ the film ‘The House with a Clock in Its Walls,’ ‘Waves,’ and the Netflix series ‘Altered Carbon.’

Daveed Diggs

Daveed Diggs — Daveed Diggs originated the roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson for ‘Hamilton.’ He won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his work. He has since appeared in ‘The Get Down,’ and the film ‘Wonder.’ His biggest success came with the film ‘Blindspotting in 2018. He can be seen next in the TNT TV series ‘Snowpiercer.’

Phillipa Soo

Phillipa Soo — Phillipa Soo played Eliza Hamilton in the original Broadway cast of ‘Hamilton.’ She earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her work. She has since appeard in the 2018 film ‘Here & Now’ alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and will next appear in the film ‘The Broken Hearts Gallery.’

Leslie Odom Jr.

Leslie Odom Jr. — Leslie Odom Jr. played Aaron Burr in the original Broadway cast of ‘Hamilton.’ He won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his work. He has since appeared in ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ and the 2019 film ‘Harriet.’ His next project will be under the direction of Oscar-winner Regina King in ‘One Night In Miami.’

Jonathan Groff — Jonathan Groff played King George III in the original Broadway cast of ‘Hamilton.’ He earned a Tony nomination for his work for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He has since gone on to star in the Netflix series ‘Mindhunter’ and reprise his voice role as Kristoff in ‘Frozen II.’
