Farrah Fawcett is gone, but not forgotten. See photos of the late star on what would have been her 76th birthday.
Farrah Fawcett was one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, thanks to her iconic feathered mane and impressive credits. The star, born Feb. 2, 1947, most famously starred on the television show Charlie’s Angels between 1976 and 1980, and went on to star in big-budget films like The Cannonball Run, Saturn 3, and Logan’s Run. Farrah is also known for that iconic poster of her in a one-piece red swimsuit, which sold a record-breaking 12 million copies.
The actress was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, and was declared cancer-free after a tumor was removed in 2007. Sadly, it was discovered that her cancer had returned and spread to the liver during a doctor checkup three months later.
The beauty filmed her daily fight against cancer, which can be seen in the Emmy-nominated documentary Farrah’s Story and another documentary that was released a decade later, This Is Farrah Fawcett. Farrah passed away at the age of 62 on June 25, 2009. For more photos of Farrah, look at our gallery here.
