‘Dirty Dancing’ (1987)

‘Dirty Dancing’ (1987) — ‘Dirty Dancing’ is one of the biggest movies of the 1980s. The movie follows Patrick Swayze’s character Johnny Castle falling in love with Jennifer Grey’s Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman, as he teaches her to dance over a summer in the Catskills. The movie won an Oscar for Best Original song for the classic hit ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.’ The line ‘Nobody puts Baby in a corner’ is still regarded as one of the most famous quotes in movie history.

With the movie’s success, it’s gone on to inspire a few spin-offs years after the movie first hit theaters. The movie got a prequel in 2004 called ‘Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights,’ which starred Diego Luna, January Jones, and more. It also got a TV remake in 2017 with Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes in the leading roles.
