Stars like Jennifer Lopez and more have taken big fashion risks by wearing sheer dresses to the Oscars over the years — and they all pulled it off to perfection!

The Oscars are undoubtedly the biggest award show of the year, and in addition to honoring the biggest films and their stars, the ceremony is also a place for some of the most memorable fashion looks. The ladies dress to the nines for the Academy Awards year after year, bringing out some of their best and chicest style moments on the red carpet. 

Over the years, some stars have made bold fashion statements at the Oscars by wearing sheer ensembles on the red carpet. Here, Jennifer Lopez attends the 2012 Oscars in a silver dress with sheer detailing. The back of her dress dipped low and the sleeves had a cold shoulder to expose some skin, as well. The ensemble was the perfect mixture of elegance, class and sexiness, and of course, someone like J.Lo was able to perfectly pull it off at such a big event. She completed the look with her hair in a big updo.
