‘Bluff City Law’ — ‘Bluff City Law’ is a new legal drama series on NBC that premieres Sept. 23. The show follows Sydney Strait, a lawyer who used to work at her father Elijah’s celebrated law firm until their tumultuous relationship got in the way. After barely speaking to him for 9 years, Sydney finds herself back in her father’s world when her philanthropist mother unexpectedly passes away. In the wake of his wife’s death, Elijah hopes to reconnect with the daughter he loves and asks Sydney to rejoin his firm. She agrees despite her resentment and distrust of her father, but she knows working with him is her best chance at changing the world. The cast includes Caitlin McGee, Jimmy Smits, Scott Shepherd, Barry Sloane, Michael Luwoye, MaameYaa Boafe, Stony Blyden, and Jayne Atkinson.
