Are Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni really feuding? Have Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian buried the hatchet?

Hollywood has been named a cutthroat town — so much so that multiple celebrity feuds have broken out of it. Although a handful were only rumored rifts, such as Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively‘s alleged tension while working on It Ends With Us, others were definite. Taylor Swift’s ongoing feud with Kanye “Ye” West and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, for example, is one of the messiest in showbiz.

Aside from Taylor’s beef with Kim and Ye, Chris Rock and Will Smith have been embroiled in a heated rift since 2022. That year, Will slapped Chris on stage at the Oscars after the comedian made a joke about Will’s wife, Jada. The moment was known as the slap heard ’round the world, and it doesn’t appear that the former friends ever made amends.

Despite co-starring in one of the most famous TV shows of all time, Sex and the City, Kim and Sarah apparently do not get along. During a 2017 interview on Watch What Happens Live, Sarah reacted to Kim saying that they were never really friends. 

“Just heartbroken,” SJP said. “I don’t know I found it really upsetting because that’s, you know, that’s not the way I recall our experience.” 

One year later, Kim blasted Sarah in an Instagram post after SJP sent her condolences about the death of Kim’s brother, Chris. 

“My Mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’” Kim wrote in her public note. “Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. … So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.” 

Kim eventually made a cameo on the spinonff series And Just Like That. However, it’s unclear if she ever patched up her differences with Sarah.

As one of the most famous feuds in history, Ye and Taylor’s began at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when the rapper interrupted a then-teenage pop star while accepting her award for Best Female Video. After he dissed her, Taylor was left embarassed. 

Nevertheless, the two artists made amends years later. They even posed for pictures together at events and were amicable for years. That all changed when Ye released his single “Famous” in 2016. After Taylor contested the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b**ch famous,” Ye’s then-wife, Kim, released recordings of a phone call between Ye and Taylor, in which Taylor was heard approving a portion of the lyric. 

Although the heat from their feud died down over the years, Taylor has made it clear that Ye and Kim’s actions were unforgivable.

Since Taylor’s rift with Ye escalated in 2016 thanks to Kim, Taylor addressed the apparently ongoing feud during her TIME cover story in 2023. In her interview, the pop singer accused Kim of illegally recording her 2016 phone call with Ye.

Cardi and Nicki’s beef began in 2017. After Nicki dissed Cardi’s then-husband, Offset, the two had a fight at a fashion event later that year. 

During an interview with W magazine in 2018, Cardi claimed that Nicki had been “taking a lot of shots” at her “for a while.” 

“I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going,” Cardi claimed.

JoJo and Candace’s beef started in 2022 when the former Dance Moms star played a TikTok challenge, naming the Full House alum as “rudest” celebrity she had ever met. JoJo then revealed that she felt this way because Candace didn’t take a photo with her at a past event.

The two made amends when Candace reached out to JoJo to apologize. However, Candace’s comments about “traditional marriage” within the Great American Family network caused controversy within the LGBTQIA+ community, prompting to JoJo to call her out.
