For Millennials – those born between 1981 and 1996, – there are certain women whose music has defined the pop mainstream world. From Beyonce to Lady Gaga to Taylor Swift, there are a handful of prominent women whose music has provided the soundtrack to the Millennial experience. It’s impossible to credit every woman who has provided a major influence on mainstream Millennials – shout out to Robyn, Lizzo, and Rebecca Black — here is a look at some of the stars that have helped shape a generation.
