Avril Lavigne & Mod Sun: Photos — Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun reportedly broke up nearly one year after their engagement, TMZ reported on Feb. 21, 2023. The former couple had reportedly been ‘on and off’ over the months preceding their split trying to make things work, but they decided there was no saving their romance. Although it is not clear why they broke up, a source for the outlet claimed there was no cheating involved.

The pop-punk princess and ‘hippie hop’ rapper first got together to collaborate on music, teaming up on the song ‘Flames’. From there, things got romantic and the duo made their red carpet debut at the 2021 MTV VMAs. The oh-so-edgy couple revealed they were getting hitched in April 2022, when Avril showed off a stunning sparkler on her Instagram. Mod Sun went all out for the proposal, popping the question while on a boat in Paris’ Seine river.

Here, the former couple arrived for the 64th annual Grammy Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, April 3, 2022. The Canadian-born singer was sassy in a plunging black dress with a belt that read ‘love sux’ across it, while Mod donned a black suit without a shirt.
