Alex Michel was the first-ever star of ‘The Bachelor.’ He’s the one who started it all! Alex was the dashing gentleman looking for love in the first season of the show, which was hosted by Chris Harrison. ‘The Bachelor’ first debuted in 2002 and has been running for nearly 20 years. The series gave birth to an equally beloved spinoff, ‘The Bachelorette.’ Alex may have not gotten his happily ever after with Amanda Marsh, but he made history on ‘The Bachelor.’ Without that first season, Bachelor Nation wouldn’t be what it is today. Alex’s runner-up, Trista Rehn, went on to become the first Bachelorette in 2003. She is happily married to the man she gave her final rose to, Ryan Sutter.
