Bio:
Jeffree Star (born Jeffrey Steininger November 15, 1985 in Orange County, CA) is an American singer-songwriter, makeup artist and Youtube vlogger. After graduating from high school in Orange County, CA, Jeffree moved to L.A. to pursue a career in music. At the same time he used a fake I.D. to get into Hollywood clubs on weekends where he networked with celebs to do work as a makeup artist. He used MySpace to build a massive fan base and also included fashion design among his many talents. Jeffree released his first studio album Beauty Killer in 2009, which was heavy on EDM and electronica and met with positive reviews. He launched his own makeup line in 2014 and does regular tutorials on his popular Youtube channel, which has nearly two million followers.

Personal Life:
Jeffree’s father died when he was six and his model mother was often away on assignments. He spent a lot of time as a child experimenting with her makeup and by junior high was wearing full makeup to school. Jeffree was close friends with tattoo artist Kat Von D, who is responsible for much of his body art. The pair had a falling out and on July 17, Kat took to Instagram to publicly disassociate herself from Jeffree, claiming that ,”After years of making excuses for, and rationalizing Jeffree’s inappropriate behavior (including, promoting drug use, racism, and bullying) I can no longer hold my tongue after recent events.” She also pulled a shade of lipstick named after him from her cosmetics collection. She also said she wanted to “apologize to anybody and everybody who has ever had to deal with any of his negativity.”
