Vanessa Grimaldi (born September 29, 1987 in Montreal, Canada) was a Canadian contestant on Season 21 of The Bachelor, vying to win Nick Viall‘s heart. Vanessa was the one Nick proposed to in the season finale, choosing her over contestant Raven Gates. She works as a special education and Italian teacher in Montreal. She and Nick ended their engagement in Aug. 2017.

Vanessa is best known for winning Nick’s season of The Bachelor and their current engagement.

Personal Life:
Vanessa comes from a big Italian family and regularly posts photos of them to social media. Before competing on The Bachelor she appeared in episodes of the TV shows Being Human and Blue Mountain State.
