Solange Knowles (born Solange Piaget Knowles in Houston, Texas on June 24, 1986) is a singer, musician and model, who many know for her being the sister of Beyonce. She released her first album at the age of 16 in 2003, Solo Star, and did many acting roles, including a lead role in Bring It On: All Or Nothing. She also wrote much of the music for Beyonce and for Destiny’s Child. Her second album came out in 2008 and plans to release her next in 2014. She also created her own record label called Saint Records.

Solange Knowles got married at age 17 to Daniel Smith and they had one son in 2004, Daniel Julez J. Smith, Jr. She confirmed her divorce in 2007. In May 2014, Solange attended the Met Ball with Beyonce and her husband Jay Z and someone leaked footage from the elevator at an after party. The footage showed Solange attacking Jay Z, punching and kicking him.
