Sinead O’Connor (born Sinéad Marie Bernadette O’Connor in Glenageary, Dublin on December 8, 1966) is an Irish singer who hit the height of her musical fame in the 1980s and 1990s with her 1990 hit “Nothing Compares 2 U,” a cover of a Prince song.
Best Known For:
Sinead O’Connor is best known her hit song, “Nothing Compares 2 U.” She also gained worldwide attention for ripping up a picture of the pope on a 1992 episode of SNL. She also engaged in a public feud with Miley Cyrus in 2013, when Sinead gave Miley guidance that Miley took as a diss. Sinead wrote Miley several letters on Facebook that threatened legal action, but Miley just responded with flippant tweets.
Personal Life:
Sinead O’Connor has been married four times, and has referred to herself as a “dyke.” She also has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and has attempted suicide.
