Savvy Shields (born Savannah Janine Shields on July 1, 1995 in Fayetteville, Arkansas) is the current Miss America; she was crowned on Sept. 11, 2016. Before becoming that, she was Miss Arkansas, and used her personal platform, “Eat Better, Live Better,” to teach people about healthy eating and how it can change lives. She attended the University of Arkansas, was part of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and was their Art Chair. She was also a member of the Drawing and Painting Club.

Personal Life:
Savvy Shields has one brother, Dane and graduated high school in 2013. She also has a boyfriend named Nate Wolf, but we all know she has to stay single for at least a year — Miss America can’t be a Mrs.!
