Bio:
Rory Mcllroy (born in Holywood, County Down on May 4, 1989) is an Irish professional golfer. Rory turned professional in 2007 and played at the Quinn Direct British Masters. Since, he has become a member of the European and PGA Tours. Rory has won the U.S. Open, the Open Championship, and is a two-time winner of the PGA Championship. He came in fourth place at the Masters Tournament in 2015. In May 2016, Rory won the Irish Open and gave his winner’s check to charity. He most recently announced that he would not be in attendance of the 2016 Summer Olympics over Zika virus concerns.
Best Known For:
Rory is best known for being a four-time major champion and is one of the three players to win three majors by the age of 25.
Personal Life:
Rory is an Ambassador for UNICEF Ireland. He dated tennis pro Caroline Wozniaki from 2011 to 2014. The two were engaged December 2013, but Rory ended the engagement in May 2014. He is currently engaged to PGA America employee, Erica Stoll. The couple were engaged while vacationing in Paris.
