Bio:
Rachel Lindsay (born on April 25, 1986 in Dallas, Texas) was an American contestant on Season 21 of The Bachelor, vying to win Nick Viall‘s heart. She graduated from the University of Texas Austin, then finished law school at Marquette and passed the bar the first time. She currently works as an attorney. Rachel made it down to Nick’s final three on the Bachelor before being passed over for contestants Vanessa Grimaldi and Raven Gates. On Feb. 13 it was officially announced that Rachel would be the star of Season 13 of The Bachelorette. Her season of the show had the most diverse cast in Bachelor franchise history. At the end of her season, Rachel chose to give Bryan Abasolo her final rose over runner-up Peter Kraus. Bryan proposed and the two are currently engaged.
Best Known For:
Rachel is best known for competing on Nick’s season of The Bachelor and being the first black bachelorette for Season 13 of The Bachelorette.
Personal Life:
Rachel was sued in June 2013 for “negligently failing to control her vehicle, thereby causing a collision between hers and a car driven by the plaintiff.” She denied the allegations, but her insurance company eventually settled for $12,500. Rachel is currently engaged to Bryan, a contestant from her season of The Bachelorette, who proposed to her after she chose him over Peter in the show’s finale.
