Patton Oswalt (Born January 27, 1969, in Portsmouth, VA) is an American comedian and actor. He began performing stand-up comedy in the early 1990’s and went on to get a writing gig at MADtv. He got his first HBO comedy special in 1996. In 2011, he had a smash HBO stand-up special with Patton Oswalt’s Finest Hour. He has appeared on numerous  TV shows including Veep, American Dad, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The King of Queens,. He also serves as the narrator on  ABC’s comedy The Goldbergs. He’s appeared in films such as Young Adult, Magnolia, Starsky & Hutch and  most notably voiced Remy in Pixar’s 2007 hit Ratatouille. He serves as narrator on ABC’s hit comedy The Goldbergs. Patton is a prolific Twitter-user who cracks many jokes per day.

Personal Life:
Patton married True Crime Diary founder Michelle McNamara in 2005. The couple have a 7-year-old daughter Alice. Michelle died in her sleep Apr. 22, 2016 at the age of 46. The cause of death has not been released. Patton became engaged to Meredith Salenger in July 2017. The couple faced extreme backlash following their engagement, with people criticizing Patton for getting engaged just 15 months after Michelle’s death. However, Patton and Meredith both defended their love and are happily engaged!
