Nicolle Wallace

Bio:
Nicolle Wallace (born Nicolle Devenish on February 4, 1972 in Orange County, California) is an American author, political commentator and former television host. Nicolle grew up in Orinda, California. She graduated from Berkeley in 1994 and got her Master’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern in 1996. Nicolle briefly worked as an on-air reporter in California before she began her career in politics. Nicolle moved to Florida in 1999 to serve as then-Governor Jeb Bush’s press secretary. She was appointed as the Communications Director for the Florida State Technology Office in 2000. She worked during the historic 2000 Florida election recount that swung the presidential election to George W. Bush. During George W. Bush’s first presidential term, Nicolle worked with him as a Special Assistant to the President and Director of Media Affairs at the White House. She worked on the 2004 Bush-Cheney relection campaign as Communications Director and was appointed White House Communications Director in 2005. She was a senior advisor to the John McCain–Sarah Palin 2008 presidential campaign. In 2010, Nicolle published her first novel, a political narrative titled Eighteen Acres. The sequel, It’s Classified, came out in 2011 and the third book in the series, Madam President, was released in 2015. In September 2014, she joined the ABC daytime talk show, The View. She was axed from the position in July 2015.

Personal Life:
Nicolle is a close friend with both Katie Couric and Dana Bash. She met her husband, Mark Wallace, when she was on the campaign trail. Mark was a Bush-appointed U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Together, they have a son, Liam, who was born in 2012.
