Bio:
Monica Lewinsky (born Monica Samille Lewinsky in San Francisco, California, on July 23, 1973) grew up in Southern California where she was raised by an oncologist father and an author mother. After graduating from Bel Air Prep in 1991, she attended Santa Monica College. While in school, Monica worked for the drama department at Beverly Hills High School and at a tie shop. In 1993, she enrolled in Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and later graduated with a psychology degree in 1995. That summer, Monica moved to Washington, D.C. where she began an unpaid internship at the White House thanks to a well-connected family friend. Five months later Monica accepted a paid position working in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. Monica’s story will be featured in the FX Ryan Murphy mini-series American Crime Story.

Personal Life:
While Monica was working at the Beverly Hills High School she began a five-year affair with the married drama instructor. Later, while she was an intern at the White House in 1995, Monica began having an affair with Bill Clinton, the President of the United States at the time. Their affair was not revealed until January 1998, which is when Clinton vehemently denied for months before confirming the truth. In May 2014, Monica penned an essay for Vanity Fair magazine titled “Shame and Survival,” which is when she admitted she deeply regrets her affair with the former president.
