Celebrity’s Most Common Full Name (born Matthew Langford Perry in Williamstown, Massachusetts on August 19, 1969 ) is an American-Canadian actor and writer. In the 1980’s Matthew moved from Canada to Los Angeles in order to pursue acting. He attended The Buckley School at Sherman Oaks. At age 18 he got his professional break by being cast in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon with River Phoenix. Throughout the rest of the 80’s and early 90’s, Matthew made guest appearances on television shows such as Growing Pains and Beverley Hills, 90210. However, he also had regular roles on various shows and even starred in a few, including Home Free, Boys Will Be Boys, and Sydney. It wasn’t until Friends though that Matthew truly became a household name. The show earned him an Emmy nomination in 2002 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. As well as his successful career on Friends, Matthew has appeared in films such as Fools Rush In, Three to Tango, and The Whole Nine Yards. Although he is best known for his comedic roles, Matthew also had a role on the drama, The West Wing, which he earned two Emmys for. In 2006 Matthew starred in the TNT movie The Ron Clark Story, and he ended up receiving a Golden Globe nomination as well as an Emmy nomination for his performance. Matthew’s latest film was 17 Again, which premiered in 2009. He starred alongside Zac Efron. Currently Matthew stars in a sitcom he co-created called The Odd Couple in which he portrays Oscar Madison. In 2015 the series was renewed for a second season.

Matthew Perry is best known for playing Chandler Bing on the extremely successful 90’s sitcom, Friends. He is also well known for his portrayal of Ron Clark in the 2006 television movie The Ron Clark Story.
Personal Life:
Matthew Perry dated actress Julia Roberts for a year beginning in 1995. In 2003 he dated Lauren Graham and then Lizzy Caplan from 2006 to 2012. Matthew holds dual American-Canadian citizenship as his mother is Canadian and his father is American. However, he was raised in Canada by his mother and step-father. Matthew also publicly struggled with Vicodin and alcohol addiction for many years but is clean now. In fact, he is a celebrity spokesperson for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals and he opened, Perry House, a sober living home located in his former mansion in Malibu, California.
