Bio:
Liberace (born Vladzio Valentino Liberace on May 16, 1919 in West Allis, Wisconsin) was an American performer, who became a symbol of Las Vegas during his career. Along with appearing on every popular variety show of his day, Liberace also had his own show, The Liberace Show, in the early 1950s. A gay man, Liberace did everything he could to keep his sexuality out of the media, going as far as to sue any publication that threw accusations his way. He died on February 4, 1987 of an AIDS-related illness.

Liberace’s most infamous relationship was with Scott Thorson, who was only a teenager when they first got together. Their tumultuous romance was documented in the 2013 HBO movie Behind The Candelabra.
