Bio:
Joy Behar (born Josephina Victoria Occhiuto on October 7, 1942) is a comedian, writer, actress and co-hosted on the ABC talk show The View from 1997-2013. Joy hosted The Joy Behar Show on HLN from 2009 to 2011 and her new show, Joy Behar: Say Anything!, on Current TV debuted in 2012. Before she found fame on The View, Joy taught English at Lindenhurst Senior High School in Lindenhurst, New York. She started her career in show business in the early 1980s as a stand up comedian. She made appearances on ABC’s Good Morning America, and The New Show. In 1987, she had a talk show on Lifetime Television called Way Off Broadway. From there, Joy had small parts in movies and TV shows. In 1997, she was brought on as one of the original hosts of ABC’s The View.

Personal Life:
Joy was married to Joe Behar from 1965-1981. They had one child together, their daughter Eve Behar. Since 1982, Joy has been in a relationship with Steve Janowitz. On March 17, 2009, Joy announced on The View that she was planning to marry Steve, but called off the engagement three months later because she wanted people to stop talking about it. On August 11, 2011, Joy and Steve married.
