Bio:
Jon Lovitz (born Jonathan Michael Lovitz on July 21, 1957 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor and comedian. He graduated from the University of California at Irvine in 1979, then became a member of The Groundlings comedy troupe. Jon eventually became a cast member on Saturday Night Live in 1985, and was nominated for Emmy Awards his first two years on the show. Since ending his stint on the show, Jon has done voiceover work, starred in the Broadway show The Dinner Party, became a spokesperson for Subway and began doing stand-up comedy. He opened The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club in San Diego in Nov. 2007, then opened a second location in Hollywood. In 2011, changed the name to The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club & Podcast Theatre, where comic Kevin Smith hosted six podcasts until 2013, and the theater closed in 2014. Jon has also starred in many movies, including Grown Ups 2, Rat Race, Little Nicky and The Benchwarmers.
