John Cleese

Bio:
John Cleese (born John Marwood Cleese on October 27, 1939 in Weston-super-Mare, United Kingdom) is a legendary English comedian. John rose to fame in the 1960s as one of the founders of Monty Python. The sketch troupe created the TV show Monty Python’s Flying Circus, along with four classic films: And Now for Something Completely Different, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life. Prior to entering the entertainment world, he was a student at Cambridge University. He gained even greater fame with the show Fawlty Towers, which he co-wrote with his first wife, Connie Booth. The show was named one of the 100 Greatest British Television Programmes in 2000 by the British Film Institute. He has an incredible body of work, appearing in projects like Rat Race, the Shrek films as King Harold, and Harry Potter films as Nearly Headless Nick. He had a starring role on Will & Grace, and played the voice of God in the Broadway show Spamalot. He’s one of the greatest comedians to ever live!

John has been married to Jennifer Wade since 2012. He has two daughters, Cynthia Cleese and Camilla Cleese, and has two grandchildren through Camilla.
