Iman Abdulmajid (born Iman Mohamed Abdulmajid on July 25, 1955 in Mogadishu, Somalia) is a Somali-American fashion model, actress, and entrepreneur, professionally known as Iman. Iman, who is the widow of English rock musician David Bowie, is also known for her charitable work.

Personal Life:
Iman Abdulmajid was married to David Bowie for 24 years, but he wasn’t her first husband. She first got married to a young Somali man when she was 18 years old. However, their marriage ended a few years later when she moved to the United States to pursue a modeling career. In 1977, she married basketball player Spencer Haywood. They had a daughter, Zulekha Haywood, in 1978, but divorced in February 1987. Then, on April 24, 1992, she married David in a private ceremony in Lausanne, Switzerland. They had one daughter together, Alexandria Zahra Jones, who was born August 15, 2000. Iman’s also the stepmother to David’s son from a previous marriage, Duncan Jones. She has lived in Manhattan and London for most of her life, and was widowed when David died on Jan. 10. 2016.
