Daya (born Grace Martine Tandon on October 24, 1999 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American singer/songwriter. A musical prodigy in her youth, she’s mastered piano, guitar, ukulele, flute, and saxophone. Her recording career began at Paramount recording studios, when she and a few collaborators came up with “Hideaway,” the song that would go platinum in January 2016. Since, the single has been been a major hit and received a Radio Disney Award nomination.. In 2016, she opened for the Jack & Jack US tour.
Best Known For:
Daya is best known for her single, “Hideaway” off her self-titled album, Daya, as well as her feature on The Chainsmokers‘ track, “Don’t Let Me Down.”
Personal Life:
Aside from her musical career, Daya is a private person. She is currently still attending high school and hopes to continue to make music.
