Chris Evans (born Christopher Robert Evans on June 13, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American actor and director. Evans first came on the scene in 2000, when he played the role of Cary Baston on the television series Opposite Sex. He went on to star in a variety of feature films, including Not Another Teen Movie, Fantastic Four, The Nanny Diaries, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Snowpiercer; however, Evans is most famous for portraying Steve Rogers/Captain America in a range of Marvel films and projects. Evans’ next movies, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, are due in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

As an activist, Evans supports LGBT rights. Evans often appears at charity events and hospitals in his Captain America costume to cheer up sick children and help provide comfort to their families.
