Catherine became engaged to actor Michael Douglas, 25 years her senior, in Aspen, Colorado on December 31, 1999. In November 2000, she married him. They have two children together.

And in a new interview with UK newspaper The Guardian, Michael — who said recently that he relocated to Manhattan so that his 10-year-old, Dylan, could attend a special school — explains his son’s special needs. “My son deals with dyslexia to a degree — it runs in the family and my brother has it,” he admits. “He goes to a special school.”
