Carmelo Anthony (born Carmelo Kyam Anthony in New York City, New York on May 29, 1984) is an American NBA player. After playing a single season of college ball with Syracuse University, Melo entered the 2003 NBA Draft. The Denver Nuggets picked him as the 3rd overall Draft Pick. He played with Denver until 2011, when the team traded him to the New York Knicks. After six years with the team, the Knicks traded Melo to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Sept. 2017. He has been selected for the NBA All-Star team seven times and All-NBA team six times. He played as a member of the USA National Team, taking home the Olympic gold medal in 2008 and 2012.

Carmelo Anthony is best known for tremendous work as a power forward in the NBA. In 2014, Carmelo set the Madison Square Garden and the Knicks single-game scoring record by scoring 62 points against the Charlotte Bobcats.
Personal Life:
Carmelo Anthony became engaged to Alani Nicole “La La” Vázquez in 2004. They welcomed their first child together, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, in 2007. Carmelo and La La were married in 2010. They are currently separated and living apart, as revealed on April 17, 2017.
