Bio:
Billy Bush (born William Hall Bush on October 13, 1971 in New York City, New York) is an American radio and television host. Billy grew up in New England, attending St. George’s School in Rhode Island before graduating from Colby College in Maine with a Bachelor’s in International Studies and Government. He began his career hosting afternoon drive shows in WLKZ-FM in New Hampshire. He transferred to Washington D.C., taking over the midday show in WARM-FM. He began the Billy Bush and the Bush League Morning Show in 1997, ending it in 2001. In 2003, Billy made the leap to television, hosting a short-lived revival of Let’s Make A Deal on NBC. He also began working as a correspondent for WNBC-TV’s Today in New York morning show. That year, he joined Access Hollywood, first as an East Coast correspondent. He was promoted to co-anchor in June 2004. Billy worked as a reporter for NBC during the 2004 summer Olympic games in Athens. In the late 2000s, he returned to radio with The Billy Bush Show, a talk radio and interview program. He has hosted the Miss Universe pageant on four different occasions — from 2003-2005 and once again in 2009. In 2016, Billy was reportedly planning to leave Access Hollywood to join the Today show. However, on Oct. 7, a video from 2005 of Billy and GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump was leaked, showing Billy and Donald discussing sexually assaulting women, specifically Billy’s then-co-anchor Nancy O’Dell. He was suspended, indefinitely, from the Today show.
