Anthony Scaramucci

Bio:
Anthony Scarmucci (born January 6, 1964 on Long Island, NY) is an American financier and former White House Communications Director. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University before going on to get his law degree from Harvard. After law school he went on to work on Wall Street for Goldman Sachs from 1989 to 1996. In 2005 he founded his own global investment firm SkyBridge Capttial, building the company’s assets to over $12 billion by 2017. He sold his majority stake in the company in Jan. 2017 in anticipation of becoming part of President Donald Trump‘s administration, pocketing nearly $100 million. After serving on Trump’s campaign’s finance committee, he was part of President-elect Trump’s Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee. He did not get a White House position until July 21, when he was named Communications Director, causing WH Press Secretary Sean Spicer to resign in protest. Anthony went on a profanity-laced tirade against WH Senior Strategist Steve Bannon and Chief of Staff Reince Preibus to a New Yorker reporter, and the article was published on July 27 to a storm of controversy. Priebus resigned one day later on July 28, and was replaced by Homeland Security Chief Gen. John Kelly. On July 31, Kelly began cleaning house, starting with firing Scaramucci after only 10 days on the job.

Personal Life:
Anthony grew up in a middle class, Italian-American Roman Catholic family on Long Island. He has a brother David and a sister Susan. His nickname is “The Mooch” and he is quite fond of being called that. He has three children with first wife Lisa Miranda. He married Deidre Ball, an executive VP at SkyBridge in 2014 and the couple have two children. She filed for divorce from Anthony in early July of 2017 while nine months pregnant, reportedly due to his naked political ambitions towards joining the Trump administration. She gave birth to their second child, a son James, on July 24 while he was away with Trump at a Boy Scouts Jamboree event in West Virginia. He simply sent her a text saying “I’ll pray for our child.”
